1. How long have You been involved in the EDM spectrum ?
Dj Cosmo: I have been involved in the EDM spectrum from the late 80s!
2. To give our members and the EMI (Electronic Music Industry) an example of what You have accomplished as a Producer and Dj, tell us what artists You have worked with ?
Dj Cosmo: I have done most projects on my own but I have worked together with big singers like Midge Ure (Ultravox), Joi Cardwell, Ray Wilson (Genesis) and many more.
3. So how do You think the EDM scene as music and business model is changing ?
Dj Cosmo: I feel the EDM scene as music and business is changing by main streaming into the computer technology of today which is good. This gives DJs a chance to be heard and listeners a new out look on different music.
4. How did You come up with "Naked" vocalist Meighan Nealon and who are the ones remixing it so far ?
Dj Cosmo: My friend and songwriter, Adrian Gariba, and I came up with the song title "Naked" because it fit well with the lyrics and the story behind the song. The other two talented people remixing this song is my friend Yuan from China and Kenneth Thomas who is known quite well in America.
5. How did You or where did You met the female vocalist Meighan Nealon ?
Dj Cosmo: I found her years ago on Myspace and I was impressed with her unique voice!
6. Looks like there is another track out there, remixed by You, with a lot of support from top Djs nowadays, coming from the Swedish Audible called "White Mouse" produced by Nellie Recordings. What can You tell me about it ?
Dj Cosmo: Yes that's correct! Nellie Recordings wanted a trance remix from "Audible – White Mouse" from me and so I did it. "White Mouse" has a special melody and this melody captured me. I love this song and I will continue to carry this song a long time in my sets!
7. What can You tell me about Your radio show "Cosmology" aired/broadcasted on PureSound.FM and other web streaming radio stations ?
Dj Cosmo: The Cosmology Radio show started in the beginning of March 2008 on Danceradioglobal.com!! The show is a mix from all new Progressive House / Electronica / Trance Releases and it's also a mirror of myself !! After just a few months of Cosmology it has grown and continues to advance to a very successful show and syndicated to many new radio stations and lots of listeners all over the world!
8. There is this track from Purple Mood called "Chinese theatre" remixed by You and Roger Shah, ex former Dj Shah. How did that happen' ?
Dj Cosmo: Roger and me have been friends for more then 10 years and Purple Mood & El Cortez are two very successful projects from him and I together.
9. How's Your collaboration with Roger Shah nowadays, any forthcoming projects in terms of new productions or else remixes ?
Dj Cosmo: The collaboration with Roger Shah is very successful and we both look forward to the follow ups on both projects "Purple Mood" and "El Cortez" in the future!
10. So far so good, what projects can we expect from You in the future ?
Dj Cosmo: In the next months there will be a follow up single with Ray Wilson on Magic Island/Armada, 3 track EP on "Dark bird Recordings" and many more ?!
11. What about the artists that you would like to collaborate with in the future ?
Dj Cosmo: I don't have any specific artist in mind, I just look forward to collaborate with any talented or famous artist in the future!
12. How do You feel about the EDM scene in America vs Europe ? Who is the most notch Dj/Producer at the moment ?
Dj Cosmo: Well the EDM vibe is still better in Europe but I see the EDM vibe growing much more in America. As far as who is the most "notch" DJ/Producer at the moment, it's hard to say because there are many good DJs/Producers out there but I feel that is up to the individual who feels their talent than knowing it.
13. Do You have any advice on those who would like to get involved in the EDM ?
Dj Cosmo: Follow your feelings and go straight ahead!
